“Temple in My Town” – A Creative Competition for Young Minds

To give our next generation a voice in the vision of the Northstowe Hindu Temple. Through their creativity, they can share what this temple means to them — not just as a building, but as a future space for culture, learning, and faith.

Who Can Enter:

Open to children and young people (ages 4 to 18) living in Cambridgeshire.

What Can They Submit?

Participants can express their vision of the temple in one of the following ways:

  • A drawing or painting of what they imagine the temple could look like

  • A poem or short piece of writing (max 250 words) on what the temple means to them

  • A 3D model made from any materials (e.g., LEGO, clay, recycled materials)

Why This Matters:

This temple is for their future, and we want to hear their ideas, imagination, and feelings. Selected entries will be showcased at future events and will become part of our bid materials — a way to show the council that this project carries the hope of our youth.
