About Us
Who We Are
We’re a volunteer-led Hindu charity based in Northstowe, inspired by the values of Sanatan Dharma and the principle of seva (selfless service). We create welcoming spaces for learning, culture, wellbeing and community service. Our activities are open to everyone including people of other faiths and those of no faith. We also support the long-term vision for a permanent Temple and Community Centre for Northstowe.
Our Story
Hindu Samaj Northstowe was formed in Northstowe to serve Northstowe. What started as a small group of volunteers bringing Hindu families together has grown into a wider community effort creating welcoming spaces for learning, culture, friendship and support.
As the town has grown, so has the need for regular, meaningful activities for children, families, and anyone seeking connection and wellbeing. Guided by Hindu values and the spirit of seva (selfless service), we now deliver year-round programmes and work with local partners to benefit the whole town.
Our long-term vision is a permanent Temple and Community Centre:
a shared home for faith, culture, wellbeing and community service for everyone in Northstowe.
